Sorruy was building my new PC and the PSU wwas a dud so I was working out what was wrong, amongst it being my first build i totoally forgot to log on. The case takes up to 8 fans so I actually bought 5 to go with the 3 already on and a second cpu fan to dual fan. So cooling should be dope!

Edit: That message was a bit rushed. Explanation; I've asked for two already from you, and now both are in the hands of newer players. Gave the last one to Robin II, to keep from freezing from the Frozen Shooter. Sorry for the confusion, I was trying to say that I don't need the Cure/Freeze anymore.

Sorry about the bad PSU, hopefully the next one works perfectly. And that's a crazy amount of fans! Are you planning for positive, negative, or balanced airflow?
 
No clue what any of that refers too. I guess balanced? Is that whether some blow or sucks?

Oh, let me explain. No, too long, let me sum up.
Positive airflow: more fan power pushing air into case than fans pulling out. Good for dust prevention if using fan filters.
Negative airflow: more fans sucking air out than fans pushing air in. Slightly better thermals, and hot air tends to leave more quickly, but can lead to dust build up with air being pulled through unfiltered openings.
Balanced airflow: equal sucking/blowing power. A mix of nice dust prevention with quick heat dissipation.
The sweet spot for most builders is about 60% intake to 40% out. Important to note this is not the number of fans, but total rated CFM (cubic feet per minute) of all fans. Also important to note if your PSU is taking air from in the case or separate, as it could be counted as another fan.

well, yes, i guess. but you typically want intake fans at front, bottom, and left side of case, with exhaust fans on top and back.

Ok, I can do that np. Intake would be fan blowing normally and exhaust is backwards or the other way around?
