Are there any animators out there? 3D or otherwise. I know most 3D animators use Blender or Maya which I'm not too familiar with. Hell, even 2D animators would be nice to collaborate with. I tried my hand at 2D animation as you can see from my first shit 2D animations but 2D requires a bit more equipment to do well.

I animated by mouse, which is not how you're supposed to animate 2D but I wasn't going to throw down 200 bucks on a tablet. Both 3D and 2D have pros and cons. I enjoy the ability to exaggerate more with 2D, personal art styles, and the ease of just drawing what you want without finding models. 2D requires art skills to which I have very little. All my art work was reminiscent of Ren and Stimpy. Actually, a bit more amateur like Salad Fingers (David Firth I think?). Ugly, disgusting, gut-wrenching art style was more my thing. I loved disturbing animations. Problem is all my drawings were the same, ugly. I didn't have much variety so when I tried to draw a bit more lewd characters they came out as Necromorphs LOL. So I turned away from 2D.

A bit embarrassing but I actually started 3D animation through porn animators. LOL yea porn animators. You know why? Because finding 3D mentors who stream is nearly impossible. So those people who make Night Elves Gone Wild were the ones who taught me the basics. They're amazing animators. They're all self taught family men(some women) who work office jobs but animate on the side. Honestly Pixar should hire them. The cons of 3D is finding models of course and computer specs. These guys render such realistic animations with global illumination, ambient occurrence and all kinds of effects within an hour at most. I remember my first rendering process took 2 whole days. I keep everything simple to cut down on the rendering time.

I've become more of a Jack of All Trades than specializing in one thing. I animate simply. I can use Sony Vegas simply. I use Photoshop simply. You get the picture. I only taught myself the stuff I needed. I never bothered embellishing my videos but I'm sure if I do it'd pay off immensely. Learning all that takes time though and I don't want to do that atm and this is the internet so I know there's bound to be someone out there who can use one of these programs EXTREMELY well. That way I don't have to go searching through a gazillion forums to find help. I know we got a ton of programmers here who've been a huge help to what I've been doing. KIREEK, Soly, the late Kion. Much love, many thanks to yall. But there's gotta be some people on the more artsy side of things out here. 3D animators, 2D animators, Sony Vegas editors, Photoshop fanatics, Adobe After Effects pros, Graphic Designers where yall at?

My fucking God... you see that little flip at the end with the feet? It looks like she latches onto his arm before flying off in a vector? Yea... that took about an hour and a half of trying to find a more natural look to it. It ain't even close to done yet.

Note to self: stick to simple animation.

lol the way the hucl flies off still doesnt seem natural in my eyes. Still more than I could do.

Yea you weren't supposed to see that last bit but I just rendered the entire 120 frames instead of just the bit I wanted to show. I change the position and rotation of the whole body first then animate the limbs to match movement and the physics of the movement. She's supposed to hold onto his arm as he's flailing it not be launched into the sky lol. Those last few frames are just the vectors she's supposed to move in.

I was testing some things like motion blur, depth, multiple layers. Basically a bunch of stuff. When I did that video of the animated TP in the background and the HUmar in the foreground I needed to use a mask. Masking isn't the most difficult thing but it's repetitive and a pain in the ass. So I've been trying to use 2D pictures as backgrounds and animating in the foreground but.... I'm a bit constrained by doing so if you can't see it already.

For some reason HUnewearls bones spontaneously combusted and couldn't be used. I gotta keep an eye on that. So for now you're stuck having her stare into your soul.

I guess you could call this my [adult swim] bump.

Im at a loss. The photon effect when shooting a gun or using techniques. Are they models? Textures? How do i recreate them in C4D if i cant find the effect in my archive? The FOmarl might not be able to cast spells. What do i do.

It's generated by the game, the color at least, based on the PMT's photon color, for non rare weapons.
I sort of recall a "gun_bullet" texture but not sure... I haven't seen a model for the bullets themsevles.

I've seen that too. I can't remember what it was. It might have been a model actually representing the photon bullet but I don't think it had a viable texture. I might have to make my own.

I have a little project tonight. I work tonight from 12 AM to 8 AM. I've given myself a little task. I've got 8 hours to make something, anything that comes to mind. Whether it is finished or not I must stop animating at 8 AM and release it. Let's see what I can cook up.

Scratch that. Let's finish this damn project already.

As a heads up, I have some more info on maps but I need some time to work on it... also need to make my 3d helper functions before I get anything above bad.

Take your time chico. I'm not completing this thing anytime soon. Gonna have to kick my studying into high gear now.

Been running around episode 2 to find some shots and I couldn't help but stop and enjoy the view of mountain zone.

That feel when you spend mad time on something. Don't like it. Then scrap it. I spent the last 4 hours creating a run animation for the hildebear. Didn't like the end result and tossed it.

Balls.... Now I'm back to what I had at the beginning of the motherfucking night!!!!!!!!!!!!
:(

The photon bullets have been changed for weapons I'm @Kamui 's horror pack from what I can tell. Maybe he can offer some help?

I spent a good 4 hours last night animating. Then scrapped it. But I still had about 2 hours left before I got out of work so I was like "fuck it lemme just throw something random together". And so here we are.

Calling all Japanese speakers.
