can just upload pictures to something like photo bucket and resize them and post more pics, also they wont be deleted when the forum inevitably stops hosting the pics

idk most forums will host shit for a while then all the old threads will have broken links n shit
i like looking at all the old picture topics but a lot of the pics arent there :<

had my photobucket account for a few years never had any problems and always been free also has in browser editing

I think that's often because they change hosts or maybe even URLs and then they don't migrate the pictures into the same folder, but they might exist if you manually change the URL. (Which is a pain.)

Don't see this URL ever changing... I know Schtserv, for example, moved from zetaboards to it's own domain, so that broke a lot of hosted links... Oh yeah, and then they changed forum software completely too... Stuff that like would break almost anything.

We moved from IPB forum 1 to IPB forum 2, then IPB forum 2 got accidentally converted to a Zetaboard, so we moved to phpBB. I guess the third time was the charm, as that forum made it to the end.

Also, I'd expect ImageShack and other free hosts to be the greater reliability threat, as they delete old images all the time.
