Yeah. the toughest thing for me is getting the controller to not have button inputs "carry over" into another move I don't mean to do. Really hard to stop yourself at the edge with falcon as well as getting up off the ground without doing a get up move because you hit A too many times half a second earlier.

And honestly i'd love to go to tourneys i'm just a bit too poor to drive out to major cities at this point. I Won 3 back in upstate ny a good 5 to 7 years ago but they were all fairly small. About 2 years ago I was in florida and missed a tourney by like 30 minutes but fought everyone once afterwards and beat 21 out of 22 people. (Got 2 stocked by some fox player named harriet the guy who won the tourney) so I was happy with that.
 
You need to do tech skill drills @GuardianGirth The general goal is to be able to play at optimal level without having to think about how you're positioning yourself :d Of course you want to think while you're playing but, optimally you wont have to consider if you're screwing up where you're standing.
 
Well after reading those controller setups, I now realize i've been playing netplay without my radius at 100 and no LR analog this entire time. 8D
 
Bored, anyone in the US with a decent connection wanna melee netplay? I'm on 4.0-652
 
fox falco marth main here, were talkin melee right? here in los angeles the scene is still huge i used to go to tourneys like 10 years ago lol the good ol days

I'm not using Dolphin 5.0 myself yet because of Microsoft's bullshit. The newest build requires missing things in service packs I won't download because Microsoft is forcing windows 10's cancer through them. I could probably find those things in individual packs but honestly I'm lazy and simply don't give that much of a fuck. :T

On a side note for some reason that 4.0 7840 or w/e works for me.

A couple years ago I taught myself to play decently. Got the stuff to play netplay and now feeling a bit more motivated to set it up. I'll let you all know if I get around to it

johnnys the homie, same with tafokints, i did a crew battle at UCLA like 10 years ago, ive been too iffy on netplay cause as my friend puts it "you can play nair fox, but you cant play double shine jc grab fox"
 
It's possible to get used to the input delay but it's not the easiest thing ever, especially if you're used to a low delay setup on console.

Edit: Also I switched from ASDW to RDFG and my overlapping key problem is kinda Fixed, so the fox might be a real thing on keys :D @anime @GuardianGirth @NDW
