Ok I tried the second guide and it also launches the launcher but this time when I hit start it doesnt even launch the app. I will continue to tinker. I am so close.

Try changing the Direct X versions around a bit. Took me awhile to find a stable one on my ROG Ally

How do I do that? I know nothing about the steam deck.
