Quick question - Quick answer

What's the point-to-rank system for HBR?

0 is NO RANK
6 is D -Rank (+7 DAR)
12+ is C -Rank (+14 DAR and up)
30ish is B -Rank
50ish is A -Rank
71 is S -Rank (+31 DAR and up)
155 is SS -Rank (+35 DAR)

After this you will always remain SS and cannot gain more than +35 DAR. You now however start building RDR up to 6% per player which is achieved at 264 PTS. After this gain is purely visual.

Note: The DAR + RDR score may Confuse some as achieved. Because it displays DAR up to (+41) when you check your points via game. But this means (+35 DAR and +6 RDR).

What exactly does +x DAR or RDR mean? When a monster has a DAR of 50% and I have SS rank, will the DAR become 85%? And is it the same for RDR, so you could get an RDR of 0.1% up to 6.1%? :O

From my understanding works like this

Every enemy has a set DAR.

For example:
lizards have (something like 35%).
gie gue has 80%.

At 100% room DAR the above % will be as they are. At 200% A lizard will have 70% and a gie gue will be 100%.

RDR i am unsure on the mathematics but I can certainly say it's a very good thing to rise.

Note: the HBR quests boost the room DAR for those quests (viewable via /partyinfo) which then gets placed into calculation with the enemies Base DAR etc.

Essentially it means alot more shit will drop, and among alot of shit a few possible nice things. HBR is great for general crap, pds, mats, dolls, items to sell, meseta. After building some % with a good group you will notice a huge difference in the amount of stuff dropping.

I believe the boost is added to the DAR/RDR boost you see from /partyinfo, which then gets multiplied with the base DAR/RDR of enemies.

For example, if you're soloing and has SS Rank HBR, on those quest your DAR boost would be 100% + 35% assuming no other boost are active. If an enemy has 50% DAR like in your example, it should now have 67.5% DAR.

Now suppose you have full RDR boost from HBR too. Without other boost you get 100% + 6% RDR which then gets multiplied with the enemy's RDR, so in your example it becomes 0.106% RDR.

Ah thanks guys for the explanation. It gets added to your personal DAR/RDR boosts, that makes a lot more sense. Are these boosts permanent?

And I feel like this information should be added to this page: https://ephinea.pioneer2.net/what-ephinea-brings-to-the-table/#point3, but I don't know who to contact to make it happen.

The quests change monthly and the point counter goes back to 0 when they change. Points remain until the change and work within the set quests only.

I suppose Matt would be the one to talk to about that, but it's not something majorly important and he's highly busy.

How much exp does sil dragon give in ult while in online mode? I cant quite catch the exp drop text after i kill bosses :c

Hi guys, new to the server, can anyone tell me exactly knight of coral quest is all about, I'm currently playing a lot of one player side quests so I may be too weak if it involves fighting lots of bosses thanks.

Would a Bringer's Rifle be handy for a support FOnewearl? I was thinking about keeping it for Tower and Seabed.

Yes if you used PCs to add hit %. Otherwise Demon's raygun w/hit etc would be better.

I ask way too many questions lol I'm staring a hardcore account now because hell yeah! What is different being a hardcore boy besides death being the end of that char's lifespan?

  • The Hardcore experience differs from the Normal experience in the following ways:

    Hardcore players:
    • Have 2x experience bonus.
    • Have 2x rare enemy appearance rate in games created by them.
    • Have a 30% increase in rare item drop rate in games created by them.
    • Can join games created by Normal players.
    • Cannot team with Normal players (but can create their own teams for other Hardcore players).
    • When they die, outside of Challenge and Battle modes, they are dead permanently and the character is instantly deleted, unless they have a Scape Doll on hand. (Moon Atomizers and Reverser won’t save you.)
    • Scape Doll appearance is significantly reduced in this mode and a Scape Doll can only be acquired by a random box or monster drop.
    • Scape Doll rewards from quests are non-existant.
Note that the Hardcore bonus rates stack with temporary bonus rates for normal players, so at certain times you could benefit from a large bonus!

Is there ANY reason to build EVP?
Estlla deals more damage with higher EVP, though I don't see it used often aside from Ep4 boss battle. As for its normal usage of increasing block chance, I don't know.

Do you need a clean item (without special) to combine with for example Magic Rock Moola or PGF?
You can use any stat, and the stat carries over to the newly created item. Note that you need to grind the weapon fully.

Ah, I was thinking more of the specials, like if you could use a Arrest Calibur or if you need to have a Calibur without specials?

Can have any special on it. Sorry didn't catch the special part.
