About Me

Hey, everyone! I'm Kyle, or Fro, as I'm called on this server. I answer to both, so please feel free to use either. This post will be a bit on the longer side, but it's mostly front-loaded in the About Me section since you have the right to get to know a person that's going to be handling your rare items in a purely trust-based service.

To start, I want to tell you a bit about myself so you can get to know me. I've been playing on Ephinea on and off since around late 2015, and I've been very active recently leading up to this year's anniversary event. My discord handle is @keeyo, I am active daily in the #trading channel, and you also may have seen me on my 193 Whitill FOmar "Fro" in the past month, and even more recently spamming the ostensibly ethical event quest MAE: Forest, or more rarely leveling on my character "FROnewm" back in the hardcore days.

In light of the fact that I have accomplished all my goals I set out for myself when returning to Ephinea for the anniversary event, I decided it would be a fun time to pivot into unsealing. The driving force behind this is that there are undoubtedly dozens and dozens of lames and limiters sitting in banks with little to no intention of being unsealed due to the tedium, time requirement, and loadout limitations that unsealing requires. This is also a way for me to get more engaged with the community as I value that sort of interaction on a more personal level.

Below I have attached an image of my character, FROnewm, who will be doing the unsealing. I have also attached a picture of my guild card ID to prove that I have indeed been here on Ephinea a very long time.

Just as an additional note, this is not instant unsealing. This is unsealing from start to finish, by hand, by me.

Turnaround Time

Current turnaround time on an order could vary depending on the number of kills left on the sealed items in question, meaning the unsealing could be as little as around 2 hours for a Lame and around 4 hours for a Limiter, assuming they are both at 0 kill count and that I have no current orders to fulfill. This is subject to change based on how much demand there is for this service, but seeing as I have a huge excess of free time to play, getting an order done in a timely manner shouldn't be an issue. If I feel like I won't be able to get your unseal done on the same day, I will let you know and then give you an estimate on when it will be finished.

Pricing

I originally had my prices set at 1 PD per 1000 kills on a Lame and 1 PD per 2500 kills on a Limiter. However, I've decided that 1 PD per 1250 kills for a Lame and 1 PD per 4000 kills for a Limiter is likely going to be a much better deal for anyone interested, since paying the original prices I had them set at (which were the Price Guide's suggested rates) just to not get the item instantly doesn't seem like a fair deal for the person requesting an unseal. This could be changed based on potential community feedback though, as I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes and am simply here to help out the community with a bit of upside for myself as well.

All in all, this means that
a full Lame unseal will cost 8 PDs and a full Limiter unseal will cost 5 PDs.

Payment is required upfront for the item you want unsealed. I will also dynamically adjust the price to be lower based on the rates above if your Lame/Limiter already has kills on it.

Contact

I prefer Discord DMs (@keeyo)
as my main form of communication, but posting on this page as well as DMing me here on this forum are also options if you don't have Discord.

Thank you for reading! :)

Took over an hour to make some very heavy edits to the original post. I kept "About Me" roughly the same length since I feel it's important to have a lot of details in that section. Unsure as to whether or not the price reductions are a good idea, since I'm in the business of helping others, not toe-stepping or potential undercutting that might occur due to the aforementioned price reductions, but we'll have to see how it goes based on any potential community feedback. I like being transparent about my edits whenever I do a very large amount of them, so this is what I changed.

- reduced the price of unsealing a Limiter by 50%
- reduced the price of unsealing a Lame by 25%
- split "Turnaround Time" and "Pricing" into two separate sections
- reduced the amount of overall text, bold/red text, unnecessary additions, and general fluff in every section except "About Me"
