ModsecID PD Purchase? (Kicking a Dead Horse)

Hey peeps, hope you are well. Real simple post. We are all aware that you can only change your sectionID once below level 20. I was just thinking, would it not be beneficial to de-saturate the market of PDs as well as allowing end game players to experience different grinds by offering the ability to purchase a section ID change using photon drops/crystals/spheres/hordes? It's kind of a 2-birds-one-stone thing. Could reverse Photon Drop inflation while keeping end-game character loops fresh.

Perhaps a time limit, like the old 'once every three months' rule as well.

And to keep the classic feel of locking in for at least the duration of your character's playthrough, perhaps this feature is only available post-level-150/180/199.

Admins chose to halt id change feature to keep the id choice signature and meaningful as it was on original game

we've recently had the chance to change IDs when there were major changes to the drop tables, but i can't tell you about the future.

The most charming idea I've read on discord is to give this power to ID cards.
but it would require Coren gamble/the Forge changes, and players would go crazy hunting/buying those, and other issues.

Thoughts; it's not coming back, in any form. I especially don't want to hack in a mechanic that isnt vanilla and or vanilla inspired, even if it was simple to implement (which it's not). Over the years my view on SecID changing has changed and I think it took a lot away from the progression of the game.

But I don't want to be a killjoy, so I look forward to seeing what others theory craft. (Just don't turn it into suggestions people, we don't do suggestions)

I don't think the market is saturated with Photon Drops. They get used up constantly for sphereing and adding specials to ES Weapons. If anything, the market is becoming saturated with Equipment which is why lower end stuff is going down in value and higher end stuff is going up.

Also the real secid meta is to just make 10 of the same char lol

My only suggestion is a very broad one: The game needs more PD sinks. But I'll leave that up to the experts to decide how.

Edit: Or yeah, more low level equipment sinks besides team points.
