Constant Disconnect Issues

I'm plugged straight in via ethernet. I have noticed that my Graphics Card was needing updated drivers installed. You think that will help?
If it still happens when you are tethered, then it rules out your network as the likely cause. Worth doing. Let me know if you need any help sorting it, I finish work in half an hour.

So I updated my drivers for my graphics card, I fiddled around with the 3D settings on my NVIDIA control panel (took V-Sync etc off) and it KINDA helped.

I made 3-4 games and got my mate to do his PB it was basically 50/50 in terms of me getting the 100 error code. He'd do his PB with/without me donating and it would be fine, the second time I would crash regardless. I'm kinda at my tail end now.. might just have to call it quits.

Have you tried another network connection yet? sorry to sound like a broken record.

Tell me about it dude! I was so baffled. It was a last ditch attempt sort of thing before I uninstalled the game.

I do appreciate your input though dude. You really tried your best to help so for that I'm gratetfull.

Looks like it didn't work... I'm now getting the 100 error code again. I'm in a persons room and it happens when anyone does their PB.

SIGH.

Although this is a long shot, you might try updating your DirectX9. I looked through the thread but did not see this mentioned.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

If your system is Windows 10, sometimes yous still need to download this (I am not entirely sure why as you would expect DX10/11/12 to have DX 9).

I have also seen the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable cause issues with some programs in general. You might opt to uninstall any old versions below 2010 and remove/reinstall anything you might have above 2010. Though I am doubfful of this as I don't see any mention of BB needing the redistribuables.

I'll give that a try dude. I'm now starting to disconnect when I enter the Dragon on ULT. It's just one thing after another.

I'll do some testing and let you know.

Yeah that didn't work. Surely some of the admins must have an idea? I guess it's "bye bye" with PSO for the time being.

If there is any packet loss it can cause issues. It is a TCP connection so should be able to recover from slight issues but if the encryption gets out of sync due to packet loss you will get disconnected.

Test using tracert in command prompt to the game server ephinea1.pioneer2.net let us know how many hops it takes.

If you are using wireless test with a cable.

Try reducing the mtu on your wireless adapter. It'll be 1500 as standard. Try 1400
From command prompt

Netsh interface ipv4 show interfaces
Will return your interfaces. Find your wifi then
Netsh interface ipv4 set interface wifi mtu=1400

Wifi= name of your wifi interface.

That will set the mtu but not save it so it'll revert when you restart. If it improves things you can enter

Netsh interface ipv4 set interface wifi mtu=1400 store=persistent

To save it

I'm plugged straight in via Ethernet. I also tried to do your command prompt and was hit with the below message. I'm also not really technical at with sorta stuff. I've tried running the client as Admin and through XP mode as well with no luck. PLEASE HELP XD

Is it safe fro me to post the results of that command prompt? Don't want people having access to my I.P etc.

You don't really need to post the results, just want to know the # of hops and if you see a lot of "*" or lost packets in the trace.

That helps, but I'm wondering about those *'s and also why your hop 9 had some issues in the middle of your tests.

The numbers should just be increasing without a spike in the middle. Well, usually.

Here's my own tracert for illustrative purposes:

Not sure! Are these tests on wireless? That's probably why it's funky. Though I know you tested earlier on cable...

I really don't know what you can do at this point. :) I think it's kind of beyond us. Tofuman had some suggestion about adjusting your MTU up there. Don't know if you tried that yet.

Besides that and working more with your ISP, not much you can do. *shrug*

I'm always plugged in dude, no wireless.

Well I guess we'll never know man. That's a bummer. Love the server but it would appear it don't love me XD
