Roulette only goes to 60 hit though, so people are still gonna do the (boring) Vjaya box hunt for potential 100hit ones. It promotes box hunts more than it promotes roulette =x.

Okay, I understand that reasoning. Good that you mentioned Yellowboze, because it definitely looks too good right now and its Ep1 drops aren't even that bad.

Do all boxes use the same table for rare weapon percents as the monsters do?

If they do, then people will hunt the boxes. Roulette might be "easier" but it also caps out at really low hit compared to actual drops.

It's also a really good item so "forcing" roulette is kinda silly, since it would be nice to see some 80+ hit Vjaya on the server (which won't happen if you are correct and people won't hunt boxes).
 
No they won't, Skylar.

Box hunting is boring as fuck and nobody does it unless it's VERY rewarding (eg: Gi Amp on SCHT) or the ONLY way to get certain items easily (eg: Red Amp!). And people aren't going to box hunt for a 80H Vjaya.

Do remember that % values past 60 or so only have 0.01% of happening.
 
Isn't Roulette's hit% up to 80%? Or was I mistaken for months?
 
80% is the maximum in GC, 60% (50% untekked) is the maximum in BB.

I might end up box hunting a Vjaya, which is why I'm kinda ignoring your "no they wont," as I haven't bothered to hunt one from the rappies yet (and now they're gonna be gone)

Besides, rappy hunting is basically the same as box hunting... (and in fact, box hunting could be argued to be more interesting because you have to kill shit to get to the boxes)

Only if you scare them. If you kill them you can still get eggs/badges/exp/etc (from boxes you can't).

There are also quests with high counts of rappies if you're hunting other things alongside them (eg: full 4 man PoD has a lot, and I've seen many Vjaya drop during limiter hunts). Boxes only appear sporadically in specific quests.
 
Rappies in ep 4 are pretty weak to hell with v502, its pretty easy to snipe them and collect their juicy remains that get knocked off them when they flee.

Anyway love the photon crystals being dropped from lizards vs just some foe in the desert, really hated having to visit the desert just to collect crystals on ultimate. Guess you didn't want to make PCs open in ep2 though I see. Fair enough.

On that note though, glad I haven't sold my 35 hit vjaya after all. In all fairness though PW lets you gamble for PDs, I don't think it needed to have vjaya be on it only.
 
You could make Vjaya an episode 2 monster drop if you really wanna promote ep2 :p

I don't know what you mean "gambling PDs," but really anything that is 45 hit or more is certainly worth fighting over because the Ep.2 gov. quest rewards for hunters is a clean 40 hitter. Sorry.

Between that and the S-Rank special nerfs...strange changes. Going off topic here, sorry. Scanning through the changes, most things look good. God/TP being added anywhere does make me sad, while V502 from Gills looks a little too rare.
 
I think I'll just delete E2 Lame, Yellowbeez gets it from boss anyway, and has decent E1/4 charts regardless.

I've decided to put Heaven Striker Coat on Bootas actually (over some duplicate drops) on Bluefull, Pinkal and Oran at a rate slightly rarer than before.
 
Here are my feedbacks.
  1. A lot of E2 hunts are best with Girth's quests (Lost, VR, MU). Some of them seems poor without those quests, rappies hunt for example, and some may be too powerful with those quests, belra hunts for example. I have not made my conclusion yet on this, I think this part needs to be scrutinized by the community, to see if they're actually underpowered or overpowered.
  2. Redria desert seems too powerful. HS and HP are hunted together, as well as SoF and DoB. PC and smartlink also drops as a bonus. I feel this is alarming because ubers are usually hunted with the ubers in mind solely, in quests where not much other good drops drop alongside it. Now that a commonly hunted item (HS) is hunted with it, this may make HP too common.
  3. The "unlikely" uber boosts may be too much. The original Sega chart has exactly one Lavis Cannon, one Psycho Wand, and one Heaven Punisher on each ID, but with most made extremely unlikely to designate the actual IDs to hunt them. Heaven Punisher is especially difficult with rates 1/12603 on Mericarol, 1/22405 on Spigell, and Psycho Wand is moderately difficult with rates 1/12603 on Gibbles and Delbiters. Some of the buffed "unlikely" rates are getting pretty close to these rates, which makes them quite "common" as side hunts of other drops. What I'm trying to express is, with the current drop rates, people will gradually rack up a lot of chances for these ubers alongside their usual hunts, making ubers a lot more common.
  4. Some useful items that are moved to Ep2 are dropped by the same mobs that drops ubers, or are already commonly hunted comparative to other Ep2 hunts. Examples are Tyrell's Parasol (Gibbles : Psycho Wand, Mericarol : Heaven Punisher), Guren (Delsaber : Guld). This is not an issue for players who do not hunt ubers, but for people who already are spending a long time hunting those ubers, having to do the exact same runs for those items is disheartening in a way. I admit I do like the concept of replacing umbrellas with Tyrell's, though.
  5. This last one is not an issue, but I'm perplexed why Skyly's Justy drop from Ob Lily is changed to Dragon Slayer. What purpose does it serve?
Edit: so my suggestions are the following.
  1. Nerf Redria Desert a bit.
  2. Nerf the boosted uber rates. Keeping them rare like they were originally is an option, giving them a lesser boost is an option. A regular hunt with the "unlikely" rates on the side should not be half of a real uber hunt, or even 1/4th of one.

I think he was "moving" the shitty dragon slayer drop in tower (which changed to heart of poumn)
