What are you listening to?

@Cash yup I enjoy listening to death metal. Especially technical death metal. This remains my favourite song for instrumentals, the last 2/3's of the song are wonderful:

Whilst this is more grindcore I like how moist this singers voice sounds:

Other subgenres I enjoy are the likes of Nintendocore. Seems to vary between grindcore, death metal and screamo type sub genres:

Folk metal is very hit and miss. I initially thought it was quite an amazing sub genre with the inclusion of new instruments and styles. Then after I'd got through 50 or 60 bands and a few hundred albums I realized it was just as generic as the rest. This song starts off a bit messy but the chorus with the double bass drum and flute is dericious:

@raggamuffin Hell yeah dude! Glad to see some more people in the community that like extreme music. CABT is a killer band to watch live, I've never seen them but I check out their live performances from time to time on youtube.

@Cash you like breakcore and alternate electronic genres? A lot of them have the energy and aggression of metal genres:

Here's a great artist who uses samples from death metal and such:

End.User is one of the breakcore heavy weights. He's got a shed load of albums

MDS is a local artist, he makes amazing tunes.

Hardcore and Gabba have some really dark artists with lots of sinister and brutal tracks. It's certainly not a genre for everyone, but when you hear it live, in a huge group of people dancing infront of a wall of speakers it's frigging amazing.

Speedcore and Splittercore take it even further with BPM

And Crossbreed is a fusion of elements from DNB, Hardcore, Breakcore and Gabba etc.
