Question about section ID

I started a Fonewearl with a Pinkal section ID, so far level 14 and I'm finding more sabers, monomates and handguns than ...fluids, techs or canes, is this normal?

I also started a Racast with a Purplenum section ID, so far level 9 and I'm getting more techs and ...fluids, does section ID matter like it did before?
 
Sabers, Handguns and Canes are 13% drop rate on all IDs, and monomates are more common than monofluids (same rate every ID). Furthermore, in the early areas, Section IDs won't make a bit of difference, because it is specialised weapons that they affect (Swords, Mechguns, Wands, etc.), which don't drop until later areas.

Section IDs work as they always have.
