Here is my plan for HUney.

HUnewearl @ LV 200
--------------------------------
Armor: BLUE ODOSHI VIOLET NIMAIDOU
Shield: RED RING
Units: ADEPT, V502, PROOF OF SWORD SAINT, SMARTLINK
Mag: 5/132/63/0 @ LV 200
- 64 Power
- 56 Mind
- 30 Luck
--------------------------------
All stats maxed out except:
DFP: -36
MST: -150
EVP: -135

Might not be the best, but I feel that it gives me enough of everything to be a strong independant womyn. I like to use slicer type weapons like Rainbow Baton and Slicer of Fanatic and feel like smartlink helps a lot. Also V502 is pretty useful because of easier use of Hell J-cutter (and hopefully Arrest J-cutter once I can afford it). I have a PoSS that I don't really use but keeping it for when I actually get Orotiagito, SangeYasha/Jizai and Excal. I won't be needing a V101 cos my Armor will provide the 40% attack speed bonus.

For overall late game, I think centurion/ability is a bit of waste. It's probably better to sacrifice the def and eva for a better utility unit like smartlink, V502 or cure unit. Also I think V801 has too few uses for a HUney except Vol Opt, but I never played HUney enough to know.

I'm going to give you some basic feedback. At end game, the utility gained from units is much more valuable than a couple stat points. You can remove centurion/ability and slap on a much more important unit. Smartlink is a staple unit for Forces and Hunters because iirc, they suffer a distance penalty that affects your ata negatively which Rangers don't have. This is extremely important. Adept is a subjective unit depending on how you wish to play the HUnewearl. If you intend to use Flowens 3084, Adept will allow you to pull off more spirit swings. V801 is another subjective unit. Some people like having it as a staple and some only swap it in if necessary. Again, this one is dependent on your play-style. V502 is a good unit to swap in depending on the area (usually for hell) so you should keep that in mind. For your stat build, EVP is generally considered to be the least important stat because you either evade the attack or you don't and evading something usually requires a decent amount of EVP. Or...you can manually evade it and skip putting materials into EVP entirely which is what I recommend. If using Blue Odoshi Violet Nimaidou, it will free up your v101 slot to place in whatever you please at the cost of lower armor stats. There are other things I can point out but I'm tired right now and can't be bothered.

Really depends what you're going for. My favourite setup with HUnewearl is:

V101
99 Power, 38 Luck
5/95/100/0 Mag

This maxes ATP/ATA/LCK and has some free materials while giving her 2 free slots (you will need Smartlink at the very least, otherwise you will suffer a lot when using ranged weaponry). I personally never cared for Spirit, so I don't use Adept.

Use 28 Luck Materials instead if you plan to use nothing but Red Ring after 180 though (I like to use Resta Merge when playing more casual games with HUnewearl/RAmarl in some quests).

thanks for all your input ^_^ i think i have a better idea of what to do now

so i spose i'll be shooting for something like this:

Equipment:
Blue Odoshi Violet Nimaidou
- SmartLink
- V502
- Proof of Sword-Saint
- (Some Situational Unit)
Red Ring

Mag L200:
DEF 5
POW 93
DEX 102
MIND 0

Materials 150 / 150:
Power 108
Def 0
Mind 7
Evade 0
Luck 35

Stats:
ATP 1237 / 1237 (+0)
DFP 543 / 589 (-46)
MST 919 / 1177 (-258)
ATA 198.9 / 199.0 (-0.1)
EVP 666 / 811 (-145)

your resta won't heal for as much. i planned my huney out and skimped on mst too, and was informed afterwards about this. i like to solo, so i really wish i would have thought that through better. :(

hmph :( i wonder what a good amount of mst is then?

HUnewearl with max MST is 733 Resta, whereas it's 601 with 919 MST.

Depends if you think that's worth it, I personally end up using mates more often than not.

yeah mates sound better... i carry them all the time already anyway lol

Matt to the rescue! (つ°ヮ°)つ

Just focus on atp/ata/luck and switch between 801 and 502 depending on quest/force.

I haven't gotten started yet with my HUney, but I do have a build in mind that is similar to yours, @Skoogi . It's a bit more simplified, but it still takes in some ideas. I kinda like to have more yellow numbers if I can (that's just me), and part of that is having DFP to be a bit sturdier (since you ARE still a HU, after all). Here's my speculative build as of right now:

HUnewearl L200
Blue Burst (Ephinea)

Equipment:
Blue Odoshi Violet Nimaidou
- Centurion/Ability
- SmartLink
- (empty unit)
- (empty unit)
Red Ring

Mag L200:
DEF 5
POW 98
DEX 97
MIND 0

Materials 150 / 150:
Power 88
Def 8
Mind 34
Evade 0
Luck 20

Stats:
HP 1558
TP 1452
ATP 1237 / 1237 (+0)
DFP 589 / 589 (+0)
MST 1003 / 1177 (-174)
ATA 199.0 / 199.0 (+0.4)
EVP 696 / 811 (-115)
LCK 100 / 100 (+0)

As you can see, I don't have v801 included with this build, but if you prefer to have the extra casting speed, that can be used as one of your flex slots (as well as Cure/X, PB/X, etc.). Again, the way I look at HUnewearl is that you do want to take advantage of casting your techs when you can, but you are still a HU first and foremost. That being said, I focused on maxing out ATP, DFP, ATA, and LCK for your physical attacks, while still offering a build that allowed you to break 1K MST for your techs (especially healing with Resta). I will admit, this is a far less flexible build that doesn't offer quite as much DFP as something like Aura Field could, but the benefit is not requiring v101 or H/Battle for your 40% attack speed boost. I have also heard that people do prefer to look at BOVN as a more utility-based build for Ep 4, allowing for multiple PoSS's for weapons such as Excal, Jizai, etc.; I don't have the experience to offer input on this, so I will let the more pro players on the server offer their advice for such a build.
