Experience drain specials not working sometimes.

What it says in the title. Sometimes it drains normally, and sometimes it drains only 1 xp. I did a search and found that someone else noticed this problem, but didn't find anything about why it's happening or whether it was fixed or not.

Right now I'm using a Lord's Autogun and am in Hard. As I said, sometimes I get the expected value, and sometimes I don't. I haven't really noticed any rhyme or reason to it, but I'll keep testing it.
 
After you have drained the amount of EXP that the enemy gives, you will then always get 1. This was to stop AFK levelling.
