In PSO's backstory, it is explained that Pioneer 1 is the reason why there are so many weapons on Ragol. However, it's never explained WHY they so many weapons on board in the first place.
What the fuck where they going to do; go on a genocidal rampage against the peaceful Boomas and Hildebears for the fun of it with ridiculously powerful weapons? Start a civil war for funsies after Pioneer 2 came down? Was there some sort of protocol that had every house had to have a panel of glass that said "In case of evil alien or demon invasion, break glass" with something like a Spread Needle or Lavis Cannon behind the glass? Heck, are the people of Coral just hardcore Second Amendment advocates and believe that everyone should be armed to the teeth, regardless of the situation? At this point, the latter option seems to be the most likely because of how over-the-top PSO's backstory is.
I mean, a 4-man team of Ultimate players with mid to late game equipment has far more firepower than a terrorist cell in Pakistan and a collection of every Ultimate player on a busy night could go toe to toe against a smaller US state's National Guard division and succeed because of all the weapons and techniques they're packing; why did Pioneer 1 need that much firepower? It's just crazy man.
