How about changing the 1/300k drops to a better rate? So for example pinkals could actually hunt a pwand.
For sure the miracle drops could get better rates, especially since the original drop rates were probably created with the idea that thousands of players would be playing this game.

The original idea was to suck money out of you for as long as possible while giving you just a little taste now n then to keep you playing and hooked. MMOs like PSO are no different than slot machines in a 2 bit casino really.

Yeah never been a fan of the drop rates in MMOs in general.

I think the original idea was "no one is supposed to hunt this on this ID, but it might drop for teh lulz once in a while"

(Speaking of which, hasn't ONE dropped on this server? I believe I remember one 1/impossible drop actually dropping, maybe @Matt can check the logs if he's not busy lol)
 
My initial thoughts on the new table after looking over it quickly:

It kind of seems like you guys are over-compensating with temple- how about moving rambling may and vivienne somewhere else (or keeping them but making another option as well)? For example putting vivienne from greenill mericus and rambling may on one of its squids. There doesn't seem to be too much incentive to make a greenill and I think that would help.

Viridia seems like it's kind of getting buffed with v101, FS, and I guess milla. It's already one of the best IDs in the game (RR, PGF, lame, limiter) and doesn't really need anything else IMO.

For the most part I think it looks fine. I especially like what was done with the ep4 boss drops and the idea of PoM getting a new drop.

The problem is that those are Viridia's ONLY good drops. Viridia's goodies are all loaded into EP4 and Falz, and this is a chance to change that so that there's more for a Viridia to hunt than a handful of really good items in EP4 and TTF.

PoM is actually arguably the worst uber in the game (along with heaven punisher - which at least has a niche use of DPing without a special mag). The only reason to ever use it is "because it looks cool." It gives a 20% boost, the same as the elemental wands, while Psycho Wand gives 30%.

So with that in mind, I actually wouldn't mind a couple extra (rare, but huntable) PoM drops. Only because it's a "useless-tier" uber with no actual use outside of looking cool.

Wouldn't mind seeing more of these drop and I'm not even FO.

PoM "arguably" the worse, I'm sorry my good man but it is the worse uber. Besides the fact that it looks cool (but not as cool as pwand IMO and Pwand also has the lore history in the early PS games to go with it). Pwands tp 50% cost makes it boost pretty much every tech in a way as well. Pwand is great, there is a reason it wasn't buffed on scht (pom wasn't buffed for reasons)

PoM has nothing on Pwand, I mean at least the Gi boosting sorcerer cane has a tp steal special (which isn't as good as free low level zonde but it is something) and 10% cost to make up for the how worthless it is compared to MP. PoM's special isn't even that good, low level jellen and zalure...on a FO weapon. PoM also needs more MST to use than Pwand as well.

HP makes MM, one of my favorite weapons in PSO. The extra range mech auto lock on with hard accuracy special it gets 50% of the time is pretty sweet and lets you snipe foes from any distance close to you like HS does with it's zerk shot. And As a extra because of how OS is at least "easy" to find you can at least not have to worry much about the stats on it. And even then DP isn't always bad.

At least none of the other ubers are flat out made worthless like PoM is. I mean the thing is harder to hunt as well!.

Like out of any Uber FO weapons if anything was gonna get buffed the ones that need a buff the most are Siren Glass Hammer (cause...man oh man...that thing is bad) and this thing.

Anyway just wanted to give my 2 bits as well and back you up more on the whole PoM is bad thing (and defend HP)
 
Man what will a fo do about that crazy hp cost? All 40 hp gone from a casting of rabarta level 30! :D
 
Already said by 16085k, but is the proposed Viridia table a bit overpowered?

Ep 4 Viridia - Lame, CR, v101, Limiter. Along with the EP 2 boosts and RR/PGF. I think the v101 puts it over the top, maybe switch that for something else?

Also the current table has 2 IDs for v101, 3 for v502, 3 for v801. The proposed table has 4 v101, 4 v502, and 4 v801. Maybe a bit too many? thoughts?
 
Ya I think were gonna upload a new template with some changes this weekend-ish. I'm all for weaker temple, weaker viridia, some other stuff.
Also Redria EP4 is WOAHDUDE
 
I think some changes are great but "nerfing" ep4 for whitill for example because some people feel its broken. it makes you select your id more careful when creating a character. I exclusively made whitill for EP4 to hunt opis and there isn't much else in ep1/2
 
Still wish we could get those at least 1-2 times a year anyway, just cause lol. Then again, I guess this would be the 2nd one in a year.
 
Viridia being good for more than just a RR/PGF slave, AND a free ID change?
Honestly, FS on Viridia would make me go back to Viridia.
I like the occasional RR/PGF hunt but not being able to hunt FS is what killed it for me as a RAmar and I dropped Viridia in favor of an FS ID (Green that gets neither RR or PGF lol).
Also the constant "has found Gae Bolg" is kinda deflating.
This sounds too good to be true.
