Quick question - Quick answer

I recently started playing some EP 4 missions, and there are areas where everything has an orange filter (heat, I guess?). How does the passive damage I take in those areas work?

Yeah, this is a poison or heat object. It's an object in the quest that defines a circle where a player inside that range will take damage every second after a short period (150 frames it seems), and sometimes there is a fog filter (the orange filter in that case). There's always a sound effect associated with it too that sounds like wind blowing.

The quest object has a specific 'poison power' and the game scales this by difficulty. 1x, 2x, 3x, and 6x for N, H, VH, and Ult. You can't really avoid it other than stepping out of its range.

However, the object is just a radius and those rooms in Episode 4 are irregular shapes, so Sega often placed a handful of them to cover all of a room, and they can overlap. This is especially noticeable in New Mop-up Operation #3 in the first heat room. There are some gaps in the coverage in War of Limits #3 when standing on the rocks, which seems like a feature of the object actually (but Sega placed new Poison objects on the rocks in NMU3, so the heat damage on those is likely not stacked but I don't feel like verifying right now).
 
I noticed on my guild card it says Japan, where is the setting to change that? All of my settings are in English, and I didn’t notice any options to choose a country.

Also are English and Japanese the only language options? Not a huge deal, but I know older versions supported Spanish, French, and I think German.

If you play in English your GC (guild card) will show as EN to others. It is just Client side that you see it as Japanese because we are on a patched JP client.
 
Older versions also did not actually support other languages outside of English or Japanese in any meaningful way, the only thing they did were loosely translate the item descriptions and the word select. Item names, techniques, menus etc were all still in English.
 
I'm spending some time to learn about the quality of life enhancements and different settings I can use to play Ephinea. My understanding is that there's a feature to enable non-traditional camera rotation around the character, which is perhaps called Analog Camera Control? I am playing with a Mouse & Keyboard, and I'm wondering if it's possible to play with WASD movement of my character, and then use the mouse for moving the camera (instead of normal method of lining up my character, and pressing the camera realignment button). I spend some time searching to forums for this topic, but wasn't quite able to find discussions on this topic. Any insight on this topic regarding configurations & settings would be incredibly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time and consideration! (Cross posted here)
 
Oh, it's been awhile since I posted in this thread, but did you know that adding photon drops or photon spheres to an untekked weapon through Paganini's photon drop exchange in Gallon's shop is not allowed to get an extra cheap (free in terms of photon drops, but not 100's of meseta) +10% on those boosted attributes that you like to add?

I noticed it when I saw a high hit untekked calibur for sale the other day. It had room for one more attribute since one of the four attributes had some non-zero percentage on it. Then I went back into the sandbox mode to unlock access to adding percentages to weapons and adding special attacks to ES weapons even though ES weapons can be made with specials after using the /item command and any weapon that I wanted can be made with ridiculous percentages after using the /item command too. That extra time spent unlocking those features in sandbox mode was still worth editing my streamed video guide on YouTube since I forgot how to meet the requirements after so many years.

I didn't look this question up lately, but here's a reminder for anybody who thought about getting ahead with this sneaky trick that doesn't work unfortunately.

Team Ranking Points mechanic question! Start > Team > Team Info > Point Information, there are Ranking Points under Team points (leader board visible from lobby counter). How do these work? Does it reset weekly?

From what I can tell, if someone on the team converts an item into team points, it will add to the Ranking Points along with other team point trackers. Does it reset weekly, or are they calculated in a different way?

You may have accidentally made a Classic Character by playing on the ship Devaloka, then tried to use that same character on Main by playing on the ship Fodra.
 
Am I just incredibly unlucky? Been playing a lot recently. Played all through anniversary event. No banners. No drops at all really. Is my isp messy? Do people have better luck with different isp?
