What Games Are You Playing?

Played (and am still playing, NG+) the Xenoblade 2 DLC "Torna - The Golden Country".

It's so good, basically everything is better than the main game. Better characters, better framerate, better graphics, better battle system. Fantastic game overall.

Modded Skyrim, ESO, Stardew Valley, Sims 4, PSO BB, and occasionally Fornite with my peeps.

Excluding PSO BB,which I started again last night, I began playing some FFXIV again, a few days ago, after 8 or 9 months away. Beside that for single player I play Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise on PS4.

Nothing really started yet in it but I fired up the MineColonies mod for Minecraft last night.

I'll also take the opportunity to show of a skin I made. :)

Currently juggling a Final Fantasy V Blue Mage only run, Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Star Link Battle For Atlas.

Behold my giant piece of crap ship. I can’t barrel roll at all because it’s too big lol

Let us know how it is! I would like some fellow PSO players input before i pull the trigger on it my self!

I've been back in pso for a while after a long break. Prior to that I've been playing alot of Empyrion Galactic Survival.

Ok cool, I remember Matt saying on discord it was good too! So I'll definitely check it out!

you'll find chatter online about "bad pc port" "framerate this, resolution that." most of it has been fixed. the cutscenes are the only place i've seen a stutter/drop issue, but they're pretty isolated and the gameplay is smooth. you can choose up to 4k resolution and it runs 60fps now.

Started some FFXIV again recently, slowly catching up to what I missed. A lot of PSOBB too and I'm thinking of checking out PSO2.

Majora's Mask (GC port from the pre-Wind Waker promo disc, $30 on Gamestop vs $150 on Amazon, go figure), and joined the MTG Arena beta last week, which is fantastic, highly recommend.

Current obsession is Kenshi. It's a RPG/RTS hybrid set in a post apocalyptic sci-fi world. Huge map, base building, crafting, mod friendly, and more. There are a few things to nitpick at the game, but from what I've seen in a few mods so far, whatever isn't added/altered by the devs will most likely be done by modders if demanded enough. Also, my favorite soundtrack to listen to while playing this is the background music from the first two Fallout games.

And now, a little story of my experience starting out:

Currently trying to do a solo playthrough despite squads being the norm. I rushed character creation because I wanted to be within the time frame to request a refund if the game didn't feel right(it SO does). I made a male human, but I forgot to put in a name, so the game auto-named him "Saint". Started out in a desert city with barely any clothing and a handful of cash.

I ventured outside to gather some resources to sell off to the city's bar (its only business), and after gathering some copper ore, I returned to find a bloodbath outside the bar. Apparently some bandits decided to pick a fight with the thugs, mercenaries, and ninja guards inside and promptly had their bodies dumped out in the street. After selling my load of ore, I looted the corpses for (crappy) gear and sold the rest to the barman. Now that I had a weapon, and I've been getting stronger from carrying loads of copper, I felt I could venture outside the city's territory and see what the world had to offer.

As I limped back to town with damaged legs, a broken arm, and a head wound, I decided I shouldn't fight 9 guys at once anymore, even if I was able to get tougher from the experience. I shambled into the rental bed on the bar's roof to heal up. During my 36 hour nap, I had a dream. This world was too violent to deal with. I had to learn how to survive from the ground up by seperating myself from society. And perhaps, one day, teach the ways of good living to others.

And so it was, I left the city to find my own little slice of paradise. I settled on a nice (sand)hill next to a (rock)valley with a great view of the area(it's just f***ing sand and rocks). The building materials I bought from the bar before leaving town served as means to make my first shack. Now that I had a home, I needed to learn how to make the most of it. I made a research bench to begin living my dream.

About halfway through learning how to make boxes to store stuff, I am greeted by a group of knights lead by a priest. "Oh, so there's a Templar faction thing in this world. How ironic that my name is Saint," I think to myself. The priest goes on about something praying with him. Since I am my own man, I simply ignore what is the post apocalyptic version of Jehovah's Witnesses. After a while, he becomes upset and promises to return to "purge" me.

"wat?"

And return they did a few days later, and I nope'd the f*** out. It was a sign. My dream was just. I will single handedly lay the foundation for a new society. One that would live in peace, never antagonizing any that walk the land, but dole out punishment to agitators. My town will be layed out in a simple row of buildings. Total transparency and easy to navigate. My followers will learn, get strong, and be an example to all. I shall call this place...

"Saint's Row"

This game is great.

Update on my active games. As of currently...

- Monster Hunter Stories (3DS) - finished the main story and working though High Rank/endgame content and building monsties to tackle that easier. Current projects are a burn-abusing Glavenus (missing a couple essential genes) and a non-element Nargacuga with Seregios' Thousand Blades (for bleed abuse).
- Shining Force 2: The Sword of Hajya (Game Gear) - finally got around to messing with the "Game Gear" part of the Fusion emulator. Starting with a series I'm familiar with.
- (Planning to get Epic Battle Fantasy 5 at some point before the end of the year. Got a coupon for it since I have EBF4.)

And that's it for now, at least for the games I'm willing to mention (if only because the remaining ones are those that I'm uncertain as to whether or not they'll hold long-term focus). Trying to limit what all games I'm focusing on (and I REALLY need to come back to PSO at some point, so all the more reason to do so).
