Trying to get Ephinea PSOBB to work on linux through wine

What version of wine are you using?
If it's above 1.9.X (don't recall the exact version, but sure was 1.9) they introduced the patch required for pso to work.
If you use 2.0 it should definitely work, otherwise look for a thread here about a patch to make it work... don't recall the name tho, was by @Eidolon

I've been playing through Manjaro on the latest Wine staging branch, but the game doesn't run very well, reaching unplayable framerates if Advanced Effects are on and generally having frame drops if anything is above the mimimum. If Eidolon's package works without these issues, I'm all for gobbling that goodness up.

Eidolon's thing only addresses the game crashing at lobby.
it is impossible to get the game to run well in linux
