Based off of that combat quote sequence, I came up with this poem!

Against the Odds

Against the odds, we choose to fight,
Clashing from dawn and through to night.
Although opposition continues to grow,
We’ve made a promise to fell every foe,
And rise to our feet to protect what’s right!

There are others we fight for
Whom on us they depend,
So for their sakes and more,
We must press on ‘till the end!

In the face of all odds we commit to persevere,
Enduring the pain and warding off fear.
Our sweat, blood, and damage we take
Remind us all that that our lives are at stake,
But we intend to return to those we hold dear.

When gasping for breath
We remain on the field.
Even a stare from death
Won’t force us to yield.

In spite of the odds we’ll come out and win,
Merging our strengths between us and from within.
From threats large or small we won’t run away,
But instead stand our ground and seize the day.
Probabilities don’t scare us, no matter how thin.

Whether fully surrounded
Or hopelessly astray,
Our resolve is unbounded,
We always find a way.

With the odds against us we chose to fight,
And the battles raged on through the dead of night.
The enemy’s lost hope let our power grow.
We fulfilled our oath to vanquish every last foe,
Harnessing our pure and peerless might.

This haiku was inspired by the time there was pizza in the kitchen and I wanted some...but I was in the middle of a room in the ruins and needed time to get up and take a slice before running back into the room with it shoved in my mouth.

The Hunters Rally

To my fellow Hunters
far and wide
I write this to thank you all

I was brighter than the sun
now I'm nothing
nothing more than a pile of ashes

to blow away in the winds of time
