Music disk won't play

Hi folks :)
I've noticed for me that Disk Vol.23 "The Strange Fruits" doesn't play when I use it. I get silence for BGM instead. It works fine from the jukebox when I play that track in the lobby (which makes me ponder that the file must be readable on my install?), but in a party it doesn't play.
All of the other disks I've encountered in game so far seem to work OK.
Any advice appreciated because I would love to hear this banger in game :wacko:

So in game you pop the disk and it's just quiet? Nothing happens at all? Is it only that disk? What happens if you pop a disk directly after that one?

Correct. When I play this particular disk the music stops. If I pop another disk directly after, the new disk plays correctly.
 
On further testing, Disk 22 Back 2 Back also didn't work yesterday.
Other new disks I encountered that DID play - 16 Space Harrier, 21 Armada Battle.
I would have thought the downloader/updater would catch any missing music files that might be going on with my install...?
 
I believe @Sodaboy removed these files from the patch server recently and put them into the installer along with some other files. I don't know if the new installer is available yet with them, so I guess they could be put back on the patch server until that happens.
 
The files have been in the installer for a looooong time, not just recently.

They were removed from the patch server so that people could replace them with their own custom music if desired.

Looking at your join date, I’m guessing you took a long break and are just coming back to play.

I would suggest for you to download the latest installer and update your client that way to resolve your issue.

Thanks, I re-downloaded and installed everything. I noticed the installer version was still the same (v.3.4.1). When I come across music disks again, I'll give an update :wacko:
