me and my cousin can't play at the same time..

we have two laptops, and he joined the game first, but now when I join, he disconnects. when he tried to re-join the game, I disconnect or it says 'security violation' on the ship select screen.

what's the deal any idea?

No. Separate username / password.

We are on a NAT shared IPv4 address

However i swore it worked and we both played fine while at Starbucks just an hour before. At Starbucks on shared WiFi we were both probably on a NAT.

We have comcast at home virtually the same ISP as Starbucks. At home our router is some type of arris..
 
Ah mate i checked my cousins laptop. It did revert to my username. While at starbucks an hour before we both gamed on our own accounts but for some reason his username did not save and by the time we got home it somehow reverted to mine.

Odd.
