Launcher won't launch.

Just installed the game. Launcher crashes when I launched it.
Already installed Visual C++ 2015-2022
Already installed .Net Framework 4.8 (had to install SHA-2 support (whatever that may be) for .NET 4.8 installer to work)
Folder permissions are permited to do everything.
There are not any anti-virus programs whatsoever on this system.
Still the same error every time. I give up. What do I do?

To clarify: this happens with both online.exe and online_win7.exe. online_compat.exe works fine, but is doesn't seem to have the ability to update the game. PsoBB.exe updates by downloading a new version of online.exe and doesn't let log in until the game is updated through launcher, which is (I assume) online.exe, which crashes. Google says CLR20r3 is related to .NET Framework, but I already have the lastest version of it.

Upgrade to Windows 10/11 Make sure you have SP1 and all other updates.
Provide Event Viewer information of the crash
could also try clearing out current .NET framework installation and install the last supported version for your OS (apparently 4.7 and higher has issues even though MS says they are supported but I don't use any Windows 7 system so idk)

Switched .NET to 4.6.2. The error persists. The log is
Application: online.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Afraid I got nothing if you're running the final Win7 updates

I's 7, SP1, yes.
hmmm.
i want to help you. but you know thats EOL
in fact, the ephinea developers released a patch recently that allows XINPUT for controllers, but they explicitly block/don't support it on windows 7 and earlier. (also didnt work on wine win7)
you can probably still get it working, my main point is you will have less luck finding a solution unless it can be duplicated easily by others with your reports.

I made a fresh installation
in vmware
and ran the updater from there. Still don't know what was happening, it's literally the same system. The only difference is that the copy that works doesn't have any Visual C++ redistributables at all and the copy that doesn't has all of them from 2005 to 2022.
