Hello,

I'm posting this thread to see if there are any glaring inadequacies in the current gear loadouts for my LV 200 FOnewearl and Lv 200 HUnewnearl.

Here are my current main gear loadouts for both characters:

FOnewearl
Summit Moon +9 [0/0/0/25|30]
Ignition Cloak (Slots: 4) (DFP+8 EVP+6)
Red Ring (DFP+2 EVP+15)
Adept
V101
V801
Cure/Paralysis
Sato (Level: 200 Synchro: 120% IQ: 200) (DEF: 5.98 POW: 36.98 DEX: 62.98 MIND: 97.98) (Blasts: Mylla&Youlla, Leilla, Pilla)

HUnewearl
Charge Vulcan +9 [45/0/0/15|55]
Excalibur [0/0/20/0|15]
Blue Odoshi Violet Nimaidou (Slots: 4) (DFP+6 EVP+8)
Red Ring (DFP+11 EVP+18)
God/HP
V101
Smartlink
Heavenly/Arms
Agastya (Level: 200 Synchro: 48% IQ: 200) (DEF: 5.98 POW: 95.98 DEX: 100.98 MIND: 0.98) (Blasts: Mylla&Youlla, Leilla, Pilla)

If anyone here sees anything missing/deficient in these loadouts, please feel free to make suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the only odd thing that stands out to me is using a v101 with foney. Outside of using special attacks (like demons special from 50 hit Bringer's Rifle) I cannot see using physical attacks much as a foney. I like to carry multiple staff/wands personally with my foney depending on the elements I need for the area. Typically I'll have at least a Striker of Chao and Glide Divine for support purposes as well as either Fire Scepter: Agni, Ice Staff: Dagon, Storm Wand: Indra or if you're a baller Psycho Wand. I also think it's worth using the elemental merges over red ring most of the time with Rafoie, Gifoie, and Rabarta being the most useful.

PSO is one of those games where I think sticking to a single loadout would be detrimental. You're meant to switch it up and change weapons for the situation. What is ideal in ep4 might not work well in ep2.

i can call as "glaring" incongruity, on huney wearing a BOVN paired with v101, speed bonus doesn't stack so you can shop for a more useful frame
on foney v101 and RR are (as always) great items, but you get no benefit from speed/ata bonus in the loadout you posted

upgrades can be vary, maybe tell us something about quest/area u prefer playing or wich gameplay u would like

ie focusing on foney:

if you play often ep4/mine/solomode get an agni scepter and a rafoie merge to improve your main spell damage

if you want to upgrade your damage vs high hp mobs/area where techniques are not good, get a smartlink then sof or bringer rifle and put to good use your RR/v101 setup

if you like just mixing music disk between rooms id say --> very cool! BUT:
get a striker of chao or t.parasol to be comfy buffing your teammates and get a glide divine wich allows to be lazy with positioning while debuffing spawns

about debuffs, mobs (especially on spawn) are not always targetable, i suggest to enable on your addon enemy hp bar and their status, to learn timings to debuff em properly

cheers!

Hello Fellow HUnewearl ^w^,
As an hyper-specialized HUnewearl player, I give you my humble opinion.

_ HU characters needs to engage in close combat, so it's more sensible to have a good DFP. Virus Armor : Lafuteria max DFP seems the best. With better DFP, your God/HP is less necessary and then, you can equip a Proof of Sword-Saint (POSS) which will give you a +30 ATA bonus on your Excalibur. This unit really makes a great difference.

_ If you followed the HUnewearl Strategy Guide, with a suitable Material plan, Red Ring and V101 both equiped, and your Min-Max HUnewearl Mag, at Lv200 you don't need an extra bonus to reach the max ATA (199). You can therefore replace it with another unit. For exemple V502 for episode 2, another POSS (to add +60 ATA), or another unit of your choice depending on the special circumstances.

_ Since you're equipping a Smartlink, I assume you have chosen to use ranged weapons. The Charge Vulcan is good, but I highly recommend getting a L&K38 Combat to kill the most powerful monsters from a distance !

_ One last little tip. Try to maintain maximum Synchronization % on your Mag. This trusty companion will reward you with a +35% Rate Boost on his Triggers ^w^.

I hope this helps. Have fun !!

May I add two weapons to your planned gear?
- Fonewearl: Mercurius Rod. It boosts Grants and you can use its Gifoie special (with a Gifoie merge possibly) to do moderate fire damage and prevent some Ep4 enemy to attack you from every side (Dorphon, Zu, Goran etc.). I know that looking for a King Striker may be a pain in the ass, but I think Mercurius it's a staple for your Foney (that can swing it very fast, thanks to V101!).
-  Hunewearl: Last Swan. It has an handgun range but fires three bullets like mechguns! And has combo attack. Perfect for hunters who want to sneak onto enemy from afar (and possess Smartlink!).

I'll say that I like to primarily play in episodes 1 and 4, and only join 2 for specific hunts or quests.

Also here are the amounts of Mats that each character has eaten:

FOney - 125HP, 125TP, 1 Power (by accident), 148 Mind, 1 Defense
HUney - 125HP, 125TP, 99 Power, 23 Mind, 28 Luck

the only odd thing that stands out to me is using a v101 with foney. Outside of using special attacks (like demons special from 50 hit Bringer's Rifle) I cannot see using physical attacks much as a foney.
I use the V101 because it is recommended by the FOnewearl/Guide page of the wiki.

As far as my FOney is concerned, I play mostly as support. However, when alone, I like to try to range with a combination of spells. I usually only rely on the Simple and Hard Spells, but Gizonde is good for the Merillias. (see below)

My current hunts for my FOney are:

1. Pwand (preferred hunt = episode 1 Mils)
2. Gibarta and Rabarta 30 disks (usually through Jungle in ep 2, but I do hunt in North/South routes in ep 4 as well)

i can call as "glaring" incongruity, on huney wearing a BOVN paired with v101, speed bonus doesn't stack so you can shop for a more useful frame

This is news to me. The wiki recommends BOVN, 13, Sweetheart, and Stealth Suit for HUneys. Which one would be the best for my HUney in your best opinion? Or would something else be better?

I don't really have any current hunts for my HUney.

The low synch on my HUney mag is because I was getting the crap beat out of me in Subterranean Desert/Boss trying to hunt a Centurion/Ability for my RAmarl

Also thanks to you all for the recommendations for new gear to hunt

The Frames suggested in the guide are Offensives Frames that gives ATP bonuses with certain equipped weapons. In my opinion, this is worthwhile if you have powerful weapons with high Hit % or/and Attributes % and can quickly kill monsters. If not, or if you don't have much gaming experience, it might be more advisable to prioritize DFP. But actually, it depends on your playing style ^w^. Check what you can equip based on your Lv: Frames
