Game is running poorly

I switched to a new PC a few weeks ago and PSO just runs poorly for some reason. OS is Windows 11 and GPU is 5070 Ti. I tried everything stated in the FAQ, switched up the Direct 3D version and AA settings, fooled around with many settings in the launcher, made a clean install, made sure my drivers are up to date and im kinda out of options at this point. I experience slowdowns whenever there are many monsters on screen and especially in multiplayer when there are many effects on screen. Any Ideas?

Did you try disabling advanced effect? It's a old fix but sometimes it works depending. New hardware has trouble displaying some of PSO's old stuff.

Update: i fixed it... for real this time. Turns out, the game was not rendering through the GPU and used my CPU instead. One of my monitors was plugged into the wrong hdmi port

There's so much stuff to remember with computers now I don't blame you. It's always human error (most of the time)
