So my wife and I have been playing some PSO on your server and it has been amazing. But i have a bug that is specific to my comp that I can not find a work around for.

I've tried every graphical setting available that I can think of. I've made sure nothing was running in the background to cause a memory leak, because that's what this bug feels like on this end. I even tried streaming to get the word out there for the server but the bug kept persisting to the point we had to kill the stream. I had to restart like 3 times during the stream to keep the fps up and not laggy but it still wasn't enough.

Restarting doesn't always reset us back to a good fps but works most of the time. The older settings seem to work better than the newer ones i.e, i get more good fps time when i use Direct 3D 9 versus using D11 or D12 or Vulken. Specs wise I have an AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 8 core, EVGA 2070 Super, 32G of ram. And I am running the game at 3840 x 2160 on a tv, not a monitor. No clue what's going on. Would appreciate any help anyone could suggest at this point. Sorry to be a bother.

this should be in tech support

Unfortunately there isn't really enough info to pinpoint your issue. You should pull up task manager to see what is eating resources when this lag starts happening.

I will say that playing the vast majority of 3D games at 4k with a 2070 is a bit of an ask at max settings. PSO is not an optimized game so things will probably bog you down in some situations. Especially if you use Vsync.

Barring any other info the best I could guess is something in your system no longer has sufficient cooling and it eventually throttles

I appreciate the response and am not sure what other info I can offer to help diagnose. Currently I will say that the settings im using are on a personal best for good fps without slowing down eventually like all the rest of my attempts have been. If it succeeds I will post what I changed just for anyone having the same issue in the future. Or if it is recommended I will simply delete this thread after I figure it out.

if there is a memory leak then the ram/vram would look crazy

So in conclusion. The settings that got me the proper fps forever are as follows: I managed to keep my 3840 x 2160 resolution no problem. AA is set for SMAA Medium. AF Disabled. Direct 3D API: was set at Direct3D 9 (This seems to be the important setting to maintain normal fps vs. my issue I was having) The only other thing I didn't mention is I'm still on Windows 10. I hope this helps anyone that had the same issue. Mods feel free to delete if you don't think this is helpful. You'll get no static from me. Happy gaming all o/

It probably was Direct3D API, the setting is extremely temperamental and everyone gets different results with it. Good to hear its resolved.
