Dreamcast HUmars

It's been ages since I've played PSO on Dreamcast, but I remember that everyone was a HUmar. I was reluctant to ever make one because of the HUmars overpopulating Dreamcast and Gamecube, but I read that HUmar's stats on Dreamcast were way better than the later releases of PSO, which kind of validates why everyone was using them on Dreamcast. Does anyone know exactly how their stats differed on Dreamcast from the Gamecube and following releases?

I think it was because HUmars (like all non-casts) could use all techniques. This meant you got the high base ATP of HUmar plus a Shifta boost while soloing, which probably gave it the highest solo ATP of any class. I'm not sure whether other stats were different.

Also HUmar is just a popular class in itself. It's the most popular here too. It's palatable for a starter given he is an all-arounder that can heal himself. It's a good first character to learn the game.

Dreamcast PSO was when HUmar and HUcast were the best of friends.

It's worth noting that Shifta and attribute mechanics are the real reason why HUmar is so strong on V2: both work on your entire ATP. Even if you give HUmar his Shifta 15 back on V3+, he still can't match HUcast's ATP with Shifta 3, because Shifta only works on base ATP.
