Cannot type password in game login Cannot enter game

I have done everything the readme document suggested and checked everything in the faq but i cannot even enter my password on the log in screen i can type my user name but that is all. I hit enter and it goes orange and nothing happens i can't even cancel out i have to escape
Please Help
