No, there is an initial countdown that you set. Within the final 24h of an auction, if there is a new highest bid, the countdown gets reset to 24h. This happens until the countdown hits 0. The countdown can be reset to 24h per each new highest bid with no limit to the amount of resets. When no highest bid has been put in within that final 24h window, the auction ends.
