Hello everyone! I'm a returnee from the Dreamcast days and I have recently discovered this wonderful server filled with the nicest community of gamers that I haven't experienced since the official Sega servers some 25 years ago. I dipped my feet into the Ephinea waters around three months ago and I've been having a blast since. Granted, now that I'm 50 years old the twitch reaction speed coming from my brain to my controller isn't as swift as used to be, but ive been doing OK enough to not completely hinder any groups

There are a lot of intracacies on this server that I am still attempting to grasp and I don't know if this is the forum to raise them so forgive me if my questions should be posed elsewhere.

I understand there are events where there is a bonus to xp earned. How would I find the details on those events? As a new player here the last event I saw was the sonic anniversary last month but aside from that loud music in the lobby, I didn't know anything about it or even what the event was until I asked another player. How would I get information regarding these events.

Also, from what I gather, there are also weekly quests but I have no idea on what they are, where to get them or what rewards they offer. Is there an information hub outside of the game where this can be obtained?

The questions I asked are really just the tip of the iceberg in regards to getting better guidance on how to progress and in case I'm in the wrong forum I didn't want to take it too far here.

I'm sure I've shared a room with a few you already. My mains are a FOmarl named Andromeda and a hunter named Andromedo. I look forward to adventuring with more of you. If I'm on my FO and late on heals don't yell at me lol
 
Welcome, we're glad to have you!

You will find most of the critical information in the wiki. Honestly I recommend new players to just go down the rabbit whole of the wiki to get a sense of all new features and implementations ephinea has to offer. The guides page is a good start.

The weekly quests and boosts you are asking about can also be found on the main page of the wiki. There are also pages for the annual events, with the next one being the 10th anniversary event right around the corner.

You picked a good time to play this game, there will be tons of players around for the anniversary :)

EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeee~!!! *Gingerly POUNCES and examines the 'Joysee-san' wiff a warm giggle~!* Mew remembers spotting the pretty Andromeda-san a few times! And you should totally abuse picking our brains for ANY Questions you has, luv! It's what we're here for~! We actually has a 4 week boost cycle that applies to everything we do, regardless of 'quests' or 'events'. For example we are currently on week #4 %150 exp boost!

As for actual EVENTS, yes we do often set a few server wide goals to unlock different boost Rates. Every year we reset the bar and EVERY year poor Soda-samas looks at our Zealot progress and is prolly like "WTF have I DONE????!!" X'D!

Take it from a fellow 'Support Fiend', being 'Slow' wiff Resta can be annoying...BUT, Once they figure out how GOOD you're at it.... you'll spend the next Hour *RESTA RESTA RESTA RESTA RESTA RESTA RESTA RESTA RESTA (pant pant) RESTA RESTA RESTA RESTA RESTA.....* =^@w@^=

Don't for a SECOND berate yourself for being '50's'!! Mew graduated High School in 1988, TWO Combat deployments, and plays wiff only ONE PAW... So any age related Quirks are merely that.... "Quirks" not liabilities, dear! <3! Tho mew Does recommend getting your paws on items to make your character a little 'faster' per se? Like V801 to cast spells faster, or items that allow you to cast spells 'Further' to make up for any slow inputs? So Buck up Ol' Ancient One! You're not Alone, dammit~! <3!
