No, the 48-hour CD (or Countdown) for this auction began when you placed your bid of 10 PDs at 11:53PM EDT on Tuesday the 4th.

This means that, if there were no other bids, then the auction would've ended at 11:53PM EDT on Thursday the 6th.

However, I beat the Countdown clock by placing a bid of 11 PDs at 10:01PM EDT on the 6th. This means that the auction will continue for at least another 24 hours after my bid was placed. This is the 24-hour reset period stated in the OP.
