Yeah, with modified code to correctly read the ItemRT file.
Although I thought Soly actually uploaded a recompiled version of the login server for those who didn't want to edit the source.
Isn't part of the challenge gearing up correctly before heading into battle?
Extending the inventory kinda removes the tactical aspect of this, but that's just my opinion. :P
Most of the tools that read and write are server-side tools.
The client tools are (primarily) LUA based which only reads :P
It could be done separate to PSO client itself should someone have the time and patience...
... but then is it really a part of BB?
Thankyou for these tools, they are a godsend.
2 questions regarding PlyLevelTbl editor:
1. How do you convert the new exported bin to a PRS encrypted file? Is there another tool that does this?
2. Did you add the feature to update the client exe?
I couldn't find this option in your tool...
I believe techs can't be stackable to 99, and even if they could, they would stack per tech and per level.
ie. Foie Lv.1 and Foie Lv.3 would take up separate inventory/bank slots.
Yeah, we are on it sorry, I went to bed lol. Sending Soly the build over in the next hour or so, then I'm sure he'll hook you up when he has chance. :)
Open the login_server binary in a hex editor. Then search for the text string "Teth". It should take you to where the client version string is located in the file. :)
The server @Soly provided is for DAT version O.o
Are you getting the username/pass is incorrect, or that client is too old?
May be your client version string.
Don't thank me, I didn't do anything lol. Credit to the real devs here. :P
Yeah, I've got the source you sent me back that wasn't messed with, except my custom client ver string, but I'll reset it to TethVer12513 and send it back to you. :)
@Soly Example A ^ :P
@PhotonSky I have a working source/binary of this written by Soly himself and it seems to fix this problem, but as his stash states, I can't host them without his permission.
@Soly there's been a few people who have had a bit of trouble with the ItemRT login server you posted - it's rejecting the username and password upon login. Not sure if this a general issue or not though.
I'd imagine even with a console with full support for an internet connection, it would still rely on the original server being alive for online gameplay...
...without modifying it, of course.
