Thanks for the feedback triple_lei - I've updated the guide. Installing to C:\users\steamuser\EphineaPSO is fine, it won't cause any issues. Proton 8.0-5 is also fine, it's what I was using until recently - 10.0-4 is just the latest version and fixes some missing text symbols in game.

You shouldn't need to turn on XInput for Steam Deck, it's just for Windows.
