It looks like MSAA and HSAA both cause it, using any of the other AA settings works fine. The combination settings also work so long as you avoid those 2 as well.
Well I'm here to bump the thread to say Vulkan is still broken despite the update. Same stuff as before, except screenshots don't even work now. It looks exactly the same as before, for reference.
Nice to know! To be fair, I was making a guess with AMD card performance being higher on Vulkan. I though so because I thought AMD uses open source drivers on Windows.
I feel dumb saying this, but I made a mistake with what I thought was a bug. When you enable more than 1 shader performance overhead rises significantly. For reference I was on a 2070 Super, a Ryzen 5 3600, and 3000mHz RAM. The 3D engine was being maxed whenever I put on more than 1 shader...
So here's a look at what's happening. This doesn't happen when using DX12. I'm not sure what's wrong, but textures from character selection to at the very least the guild hub just don't seem to render correctly. I'm sure this happens when you go down too. The framerate is stable, at least.
Whenever depth of field and ambient occlusion (at any setting) are used in conjunction the game lags. The game doesn't use any extra resources, it just drops a lot of frames.
When you attempt to scroll with a trackpad, it ends up infinitely scrolling upwards for the rest of the session. It doesn't matter if you try to scroll in the game or the menu, the problem stays until you restart the client.
