Updated the game DLL today. The only change is probably better performance on lower end systems.

If your Windows Defender throws a fit, you can follow these steps for Windows 10:

1. Click Start
2. Start typing "Windows Defender" and select "Windows Defender Security Center".
3. Click the little shield icon on the left.
4. Click "Virus & threat protection settings".
5. Scroll down and select "Add or remove exclusions".
6. Click "Add an exclusion".
7. Select "Folder".
8. Select your EphineaPSO folder.
9. ???
10. Profit!

"The only change is probably better performance on lower end systems."

Yes! Thank you. I play on my Mac through WINE, so any performance boost at all is helpful.

Any technical details on this? Every frame counts for people with toaster rigs :p

honestly, i get weird stutter and slowdown occasionally on a i5-2500k+GTX970 rig. Maybe this will iron that out lol

Alright I'm back.

Windows XP on regular mode runs with more CPU usage than Low Performance mode, runs the same as before the DLL update. Look at the CPU usage on CPU 1 & CPU 2.

Windows XP on Low Performance mode felt like it ran the same as Normal mode but the cpu usage is minimal. Look at the CPU usage on CPU 1 & CPU 2... that is some serious magic, maybe I can get away with running the ENB Blur mod now on my retro rig now .

I tried pumping more speed into my PSO (than my already "faster than usual" PSO) by clocking my XP machine to 3.75Ghz (which puts me right on the verge of crashing) and dropping to 720p + low performance mode. Ran the same as 1080p.

Windows 10 performance:

Alright, here is where things get interesting. Some background info, I usually have RealTemp Ti, GPU-Z, and the Task Manager CPU tab on my second monitor while playing video games. Well, I noticed stuttering as soon as i popped into the lobby on my Windows 10 machine. At first I thought it was the ENB shader mod or Firefox causing my issues so I disabled ENB, closed Firefox, and restarted the game. Still no improvement. Turned off GPU Z and immediately my stuttering issues were gone.

GPU - Z On but minimized.

I solved my stuttering issues on my W10 machine, but for those of you that still have it I'd recommend looking at what programs you have running in the background. Could be something like the MSI gaming app, Asus' RGB app, GPU Z, etc, and conflicting with PSOBB. I'm going to try Ultima and Destiny PSO (even though these run on teth) to see if they have the same issue with GPU Z before I blame anything on Ephinea, but my previous experience with stuttering in games were the Xbox Play Anywhere anti-cheat systems that had issues with HWiNFO before HWinfo was updated.

Okay, I don't know how you worked your magic, but I'm seeing a huge increase in how smoothly my gameplay has become!
