Hello there, the Ephinea client was updated today with the following changes:

- PsoBB.exe was updated to have it's manifest modified to be DPI aware. This prevents the application from being stretched by default due to Windows DPI settings. You can still modify DPI settings by modifying the properties of the EXE or desktop shortcut, however. (So, for example, if you configure PSOBB to use a 1600x900 window on a 1920x1080 monitor when you have your desktop set to 125% window scaling, PSOBB will no longer open up a 2000x1125 window, like it used to, if you didn't override scaling to "Application" on it's shortcut.)
- Ephinea.DLL was changed to optimize some of the code used for AA and AF. Also, D3D9 now uses the same AA method as D3D8.

When I choose to log in to the game after using Ephinea PSOBB, the screen will disappear in a flash, but it can be used normally before, is my computer system too old?

D3D 8 or 9? AA on or off?

I just updated the DLL to not fail when AA can't be used.

Also if AA can't be used, it will let you know and then proceed with the game with AA off.

Same thing for AF. If your AF level is too high, it will reduce it. If you can't use AF, it will let you know and disable it, but the game will proceed.

If you still have some issue, try resetting your resolution in the launcher.

I re-downloaded the client, installed and updated it, using D8, and all others were turned off by default. The update went smoothly, but the game screen disappeared instantly after startup.

So, if you're running v1406 of the DLL, like I said, set your resolution stuff in the launcher. Maybe try 640x480 or 800x600 or something that's not outside the size of your monitor.

If you are on D3D8 and everything is turned off, my code doesn't do anything outside of what PSO normally did.

The only change would be to the manifest which would make the application DpiAware and not scale the window unnecessarily.

Thank you for your help, I think I will try to change the windows system tomorrow.
