Hi. So I’m really trying to enjoy this server. I love everything about it , except it’s driving me insane how when I join some parties my game crashes. No other server does this to me. Just ephenia. I can log in no issues. Join about 75% of games no issues. Make parties 100% of time no issues. But there is this 25% chance when I join a party the game crashes. Like no error or nothing just straight closes the entire psobb application. I’ve tried to fix it but can’t seem too. I’m on a Microsoft book 2 and it’s top of the line and even runs games like gears of war 5 no issues. So to have problems with this game is alittle odd for me. What can I try doing to fix this ? It’s making it hard for me to completely enjoy this server. Thanks for any help

Next time you crash, go into Event Viewer then look at Windows Logs > Application. Do you see an Error event for psobb.exe? If so, what's the exception code and the faulting module (don't give the full path of the module, just the final name.dll or name.exe depending on what it is). If it's dinput8.dll, it sounds like you have an issue with your addons.
If you find a party that you crash while joining, is it consistent? Can you launch the game and try joining and crash again or will it sometimes work if it's the same players in the game?
Are you using addons and have the Player Reader enabled and there's someone with Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters in their name whenever you find a party that you're crashing in? Do you ever crash if someone joins your party?

Thanks for response. I’ll look into those steps you mentioned in first paragraph. So I have never crashed when I make a party. I usually on crash as soon as I join a party and as it’s warping into party the application just crashes. I feel like it happens more often when I join a party at same time as someone else or it fills up as soon as I join it. Like instead of booting me to lobby it just crashes. Sometimes tho a party will be 1/4 full and I’ll try joining and it still crashes. Then I log back in and it lets me join, or sometimes crashes again. I don’t crash when I’m in a party. I’ve actually never disconnected or crashed while on a mission or hunting. I’ve never crashed because of someone else joining party either.

Ok I found what you mentioned in and it does show a error for each crash. Most recent one from 10:05 pm 30 mins ago says:

Does each crash have the same fault offset in the event viewer error?
Is the crash repeatable? If you find a party where you crash on joining, what happens if you restart the game and try to join that same party again, assuming it has the same players?
Did you install any custom skins or models?

Also if will sometimes work even if same people in party on the second or third attempt at joining. 75% of parties I have no issues joining. It’s like rolling the dice tho sometimes it just crashes
each crash looks like same fault offset, when I restart the game and try to join the same party it usually doesn’t let me join it, but sometimes it will. I haven’t installed anything other than the psobb ephenia app, no custom skins no add ons.

I've had this problem in the past, it is rare to encounter it nowadays, but I still wonder if it has anything to do with a bad internet connection. I used to use a wireless adapter for internet but was far away from my router so I encountered a ton of problems, when I decided to go back to ethernet it fixed every problem I had at the time.
