Hello everyone!

Two days ago, I decided to try out the exciting world of PSOBB. Back in the day, I really wanted to play this game on PC (and the Dreamcast V1 and 2 as well) online but by then the servers were shut. Thanks to everyone involved on Ephinea, I was finally able to start my adventure with PSOBB. Probably over a decade overdue, but better now than never!

Also, a special thank you to those on the Discord and in-game who helped me get started. If you see me in game, know that I'm rocking the same Dreamcast controller I used many years ago to play PSOBB thanks to the magic of USB adapters. See you on Pioneer 2 everyone! :3

EEEeeeee! *POUNCES and looks Gib-san over carefully!* Wonderful to hear how someone was finally able to sate their curiosity and find out they LOVE what they found~! Don't for a SECOND look down on yourself for missing out on the SEGA servers dear! All you really missed out on was the RAMPANT HACKING that made our lives HELL the final days before shut down! =(. Sooo, consider your start here, the 'REAL' experience, unfettered by FSODs/ BSODs, NOLs, PK/CK Wars, memory card corruption codes...and don't even get your mew started on the BANK ROBBERIES! =u.u=! Oh!! In case your DC pad starts acting funky...Wired XBOX360/ONE Pads are not only plug and play, but the button layout is similar to the DC pad! You'll like it~! Looking forward to pouncing and playing wiff you too! Welcome Home! =3

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have an XBOX One controller, but I find the DC pad to be more comfortable for my big hands! If anything, if the pad wears out, I can source another one online since new-old stock is plentiful for DC (but that is slowly going away due to scalpers, I should probably get on it!)

I saw the horror stories of the SEGA servers thanks to stuff like Action Replay wrecking havoc in the game. I'm surprised they didn't have any anti-cheat back then to check if players had tampered with the game in any way. But it's good that these securities are in check here, it's been a fantastic experience so far! You'll often see my character (the one in the profile picture) lurking in the lobbies having a chat or diving into the story mode for the most part. I'm trying to get the offline stories done since I never had a chance to finish them on the DC version (solo was difficult compared to parties), but I'll also join the occasional boss-run for fun :p

That's what a lot of players do when they were away for a long time....Play all the old original quests just for the Nostalgia trip~! Purrsonally mew did all the required single player mode "side story" quests required to unlock the Dr Ostos Research quest required to convert enemy parts into weapons. VERY Handy! *Winces at mention of Action replay* Action Replay...Gameshark....eyup!....BLECH!! lol! Yes, it's crazy how the prices of our old retro game consoles are on the rise! Before, Gamestop would be overstocked with trade ins and would almost pay US to take them away!....So Hurry and grab a pair of pads, just in case! By the looks of it We're not going anywhere anytime soon....so you're gonna be playing....A LOT later~! XD! Mew'll put Gibbies on her 'POUNCE on SIGHT' list if spotted in lobbies! =3!

PSO with DC Pad? Thats the only comfortable way for big hands. Good there is the Mayflash DC USB Adapter, works like a charm.
