Warrior's Pride: Ash and Bernie took my money

Quest: Episode 4 Side Stories -> Warrior's Pride

I haven't tested every possible combination of this but it seems that after adding Ash and/or Bernie to the party, the first 6 meseta piles that I drop from my inventory get removed.
They didn't take my Star Atomizer bait, they just want meseta.

Why did I find this? Because I was testing a new addon layout for a meseta counter, checking gain/loss animations.

I just tested this out on:

Normal
Hard
Very Hard
Ultimate
Anguish 1

Can confirm that it takes the first 6 meseta drops they don't even spawn on the floor. They even stole the 10K I dropped as a test ^_^

They didn't want my music disks, scape dolls, any consumable item you can buy from the shop only the first 6 meseta drops.

Dropping items in-between the meseta does not count as a null item they will still resume their stealing no matter how many tempting items you drop in-between meseta drops 1 and 6.

They also don't seem to be interested in meseta no matter how many times you continue to drop it at least not within like ~50 drops after the 6th.

I will try not to let this impact my opinions on HUmars and RAmars.

Oh no problem, I've done so much QA stuff working in DevOps this is nothing.

I just saw this and thought it was hilarious how you found it so I wanted to see for myself.

I think it is a universal thought that everyone wants to be the first to do something and I think I can safety assure you that you are the first person to find this.

I don't think there has been another person to have dropped 6 piles of meseta in the Warriors Pride Quest in Phantasy Star Online and had it stolen by Ash and Bernie until you showed up and changed the game. I had to see it for myself.

Slightly off topic, they won't do it no matter how nicely I ask. Maybe if I drop a certain amount of meseta six times?

Not meseta quantity dependent but I didn't get Rupika.

Will check this out at some point. Very low priority, though.

It is probably something like the server needs to increment the game item ID a certain number of times due to NPC items or something.
