Great post! I agree with almost everything. Unfortunately, I don't see a way to prevent this from happening — especially when it comes to taking advantage of new/seasonal players. There are who barely play the game anymore and have found a new hobby in scamming other players. It’s a behavior that corrodes the community — which is small to begin with — and ends up driving people away (a sensitive topic I might even get warned for bringing to the table).
That said, laziness comes at a price. It is up to each individual to check the market before making any trade.

Need to start calling flipping what it is, which is scalping. I commend your post and gave you a Like but I think those already not playing by common sense and decency are unlikely to start now.
Some take this game way too seriously. It's a 25 year old game, just buy what you need and sell what you find that you don't need or once you've upgraded sell the replaced item. If you're sitting in Pioneer doing trades all day, taking advantage of new or generous players who're naive and just trying to escape IRL for a couple hrs, rubbing your hands together and not even playing the game then what's the point?
I have pretty much what I need and can afford what I don't have yet just from casual 2 yrs of play on this server. I guess if you really want to go hardcore and have 2 70% hit sets of every good weapon then yeah you probably need to do shady stuff for one occasional less MISS now and then. I think most players will just find that type of behavior silly, corrosive, anti-community and not what the game was intended to be.
