(SOLVED) Game will only let me type?

hi, i am a relativley new player (only about 8hs on the game so far) and after my game crashed I opened it again and it will only allow me to type chat messages. I tried changing the movement keys so they were not WASD but i still could not move. has anyone else encountered this issue or know how to fix it?
 
You probably pressed F11. F11 is a shortcut to toggle keyboard controls. Make sure your chat input is closed (no flashing cursor) and then press F11.

Or open the menu, go to Options > Keyboard Controls and enable them.
