So yes, you're gonna have to Grind and curse your way back up the "Embrace the SUCK" charts! "Good news" is you get to do it All again, but THIS Time in an environment Without hasing to look over your shoulder for some Asshat using a Game Shark, or Action Replay, or some Proxy PC BS!! Back in the day I only ever played offline so I was totally oblivious to The Great Hacks Of The Early 2000s. Although I'm curious now, I've seen lot of people say reaching Lv200 is only halfway, what else is there to do other than grinding for rare gear?

Lol....nu nu nu....it's level 180 that is considered only Halfway! Once you reach 180...you're gonna notice you've now reached the 'Millions' mark to level only once! for example it requires like 4.4 MILLION to reach 199-200 alone! Mew would only get excited when her char would reach 900,000 TNL, Then at least the numbers 'looked' like they were decreasing! XD!

Ah I understand now, I just hope when I reach that point that the Ultimate challenge with be enough!

NOW you see the temptation that is "Anguish"! Once we reach Ultimate....when creating a room, we get the option to choose Anguish 1-10 to increase the difficulty even MOAR! Anguish also grants the Sadist slightly modified perks~! like drop %'s, etc.

Why are people so anxious of joining Anguish parties?
Anguish 1 for instance isn't much different from regular ult setting.

  • Original PSO (Version 1): The original version had a level cap of 100 for both characters and Mags.

  • PSO Version 2 (Dreamcast): Version 2, which was released on the Dreamcast and other systems, increased the level cap to 200.

  • Other Systems: Later releases of PSO on other systems also had a level cap of 200.
