PS5 DPAD issue

Hey!

I've never done this before so I'm sorry if I've posted wrong in any way.

My PS5 controller when connected scrolls the main menu A-okay, when I click on start game however the game/client registers the DPAD constantly being pushed up. This means that when I do eventually get into game, the menu is just perma scrolling up which makes it unplayable naturally.

I've had this issue before when I played a few years ago but I genuinely have no idea how I fixed it.
Can someone help?

Maybe try holding down R2 and/or L2 about halfway and see if that helps. Probably, you need to carefully navigate the in-game menus to remap your controls.
