No916 - Server is full (not a .dll issue?)

Hi all,

Since yesterday morning, I've been getting the No916 "This server is full" error despite the game previously working as of the most recent update (i.e., despite it working on the 23rd). I have tried whitelisting the install folder as well as individual processes in Windows Defender (I don't run any other anti-virus) as well as disable Defender entirely with no luck. I have also tried re-installing the game entirely.

The game displays v1002 on the bottom-left of the title screen.

I am running Windows 8 64-bit.

Any ideas on things to try?

It looks like you were banned for one shotting too many enemies consecutively in Ultimate mode.

You'd have to kill a significant amount of monsters in Ultimate, with one attack, without failing or missing once, to trigger the automatic ban.
 
This is a pretty common issue. Misses don't count against the OHKO detection, and hell counts as a one shot, so people spamming SSS in things like Phantasmal World #3 do end up getting banned falsely.

I've had to unban quite a lot of legitimate users because of this, actually.

I wouldn’t know what else would have caused it. That’s basically all I’ve been doing lately in between working on coursework.
 
I'm at work now, but if you can unban him Matt, that'd be fine. I didn't know there were "a lot" of legitimate users banned for this, I've only ever heard of one other guy getting banned for it through the Ultimate mothants or w/e. But, will have to look into it.
 
Looking through the logs, it doesn't look like it's "a lot", as "a lot" would indicate a great deal of users were being affected by this.

There are very few people affected, but definitely looks like something that should be looked into:

Thank you for your willingness to look into things. Sounds like, if I continue to do box runs, I should be a bit more careful. Maybe switch back to using a Hell Vulcan, as this issue only popped up after I started speeding through with a Hell Needle.
 
We'll get you unbanned either when I get home or another GM can do it. (Now I am at work.)

I'll also have this patched by the weekend.
