So, I'm using the tetheala client made by Sodaboy to attempt to play the game offline and everything started going as planned until I tried to change my resolution. There is no option in the drop down menu for a resolution. I've tried:
-re-downloading client
-turning off anti-virus softwares
-Changing compatibility modes on the "vonlin" client to Windows XP Service Pack 2
-Changing the CTRLBUF files in the Registry editor and reverting them back to their original state when they launched a black screen.
The game does launch in windowed (and fullscreen with the help of the registry editor) but I can't change the resolution for the life of me. this is what it looks like below.
