Can someone make a mod to the exe to make Right Pallet be cancel and Left Pallet be detail? I hate how they flipped this. I don't think it was like that in DC, and I know it wasn't on GCN. :<

Anyway, is this possible? and able to be done here?

That's already how it works. The right palette is cancel (B) and the left palette is details (X). The GC version's button layout is backwards, because Nintendo likes making weird controllers that don't match the button layout used by everybody else. GC still uses B to cancel and X to show details, but B and X are flipped on the GC controller. BB uses the same layout as every other PSO version that isn't GC.

Oh, sorry. So would it be possible to make it so Left Pallet cancels? It's really odd using my GCN controller, and eather I have to switch pallets on screen or hit X to cancel...

Not long ago I posted in a topic about the "non-configurable" keys but can't seem to find it.
I can modify basically everything except 1 key, not sure which one was it but from my pastebin notes, it seems to be the cancel button.

These don't have to be modded in the client but in the character data, so you can make your server modify the keys with commands (that's how I plan to do it eventually) or let people use cheat engine to modify their keys.
I mean let them as in for example, Ephinea will close its client when CE is detected (there are ways around that but is out of the scope of the reply).

Since you are posting in this subforum, I am going to assume is for your server and you have access to the source so.
You can just go and play with keyConfig in the character data struct.

Also... my pastebin notes should be wrong regarding to keyconfig being 91 ints... since there seems to only be 58 in the keyconfig.
Anyway... go experiment and see what comes out.

The simplest solution is to just map your buttons backwards and then ignore what the Action Palette icons say. That's what I do on GC, since I have the opposite problem of yours. ;)
