Issues connecting.

I recently just reset my password as directed from the message. I run the online.exe (no patch happens) but when i launch the game and login it says "downloading online.exe" then i have to close the game. This is an endless cycle. Any help would be appreciated.

This issue is usually your AV deleting the online.exe, make sure its whitelisted and then run online.exe from the ephinea folder. Antiviruses flag PSOBB.exe's as false positive viruses, it's nothing.

I do not have an AV. I also directly ran it from the folder. No dice. Any other suggestions?

Are you sure windows defender is not running in the background? It's integrated into windows. But if it's not blocked by AV, maybe a firewall is getting it. When you have a patch loop its not saving the updated exe so its having to redownload it. What OS are you using? Just wondering if it could be a win10 issue.

Hey now, Colette, a lot of us are on Windows 10 nowadays. I think there isn't anything outstanding in regards to Windows 10 any PSO now. I develop on Windows 10 after all! BUT YEA, SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING IS BLOCKING IT STILL. Shouldn't be any reason it doesn't download and stay there.

AV? Running as Administrator? Yeah, tried adding an exception to Windows Defender? Not sure what else.

windows 7. Windows 10 can die in a fire.

This is the first time i've ran into any trouble patching/updating since i started here. I have a 116 HC character.

edit: I just turned off windows defender and killed windows firewalls. Restarted. Still endless cycle of online.exe.
