Hello everyone. I am relatively new to Ephinea. I originally played PSO on the Dreamcast as a middle school aged kid. I didn't have internet back then, so my first online experience was the Xbox version via Xbox Live. My first experience with PSOBB was on the SCHT server, probably 10 years ago or so earlier, but I lost my account there when they had some kind of data wipe. Recently, I have had a strong itch to play again, and have been loving my time here on Ephinea! The community has been great so far, and a few high level veterans even randomly hooked me up with a few starter items.
I just made it to Ultimate, currently level 84 HUcast as a first character, and have been getting smacked around. So, I figured it was time to introduce myself! I don't really care about the meta, being the most optimal, or using the strongest items or strategies. I get fun from building my character a certain way, and playing with certain rare items that I like, even if they may not be the best. Hopefully, now that I made Ultimate, I can use my feeble stockpile of PDs to start getting some of my favorite weapons!
I also play some other games from my childhood off and on as well. I am a big fan of the MMORPG "Final Fantasy XI", and I activate my account and play it once every year or two. I also am really into Diablo 2 still, and there is a great private server keeping it alive and ticking much like Ephinea is for PSO.
Lastly, I currently live in Japan. I have lived here for nearly 12 years now. However, I usually play on the main US ship, because English is my native language and the strongest of the two. Though, I am impressed at how strong the JP community is on this server too, that is great to see! I only play a couple hours a few times a week in the evenings (which is Japan time zone evening, early morning US). When I am active on FFXI, I usually only play with Japanese players, so I might dip my toe into the JP community here as well. However, I'd love to play with any early birds from the US, or mid-dayers from EU. I hope to see you all around the ship!
