Having issues verifying my new account

Hey guys,
I registered my account and received the confirmation email but when I click the link, I get "Invalid verification key".
I also tried logging in to the game but get "Username or Password is incorrect".
 
Attempt to reset the password on your account.

If you reset it, it will activate the account.

Doesn't seem to work. I've reset the password twice so I'm pretty sure there are no typos or anything. The game tells me "incorrect username or password" and if I try to download the game from the site, for example, it tells me "Error! There are no characters associated with this account".
