Game crashes in PS3. Any fix?

Since PS3 is RBR I actually run this quest consistently enough to want to fix it. I get little hiccups here and there but it's mostly sporadic and no pattern to it. But PS3 is different. Any kind of loading being done in Jungle,Seaside, and Mountains always appear to be very stressful compared to loading other areas. So much so that there's even a little black loading screen in these areas where ep1,4 never have this. But the worst part is taking the teleporter to the Seaside area at the very, very start of PS3. I've noticed most all of my crashing happens here. It's that little room with the terminal you activate to start the mission. It triggers an explosion and breaks a large rock wall. I tried maxing out the vram at 4096 or whatever ever, but that isn't full proof. It almost feels like piping in and avoiding the teleporter entirely might be more successful.

Well it could come from a lot of things.
Are you using any custom/HD textures?
Have you tried different Direct3D API?
Do you have any AA or AF options enabled?
IMO you should post here the crash details that you can find in windows event viewer, this will help narrowing your issue.

Lower the graphics from 12 to 9. It has to be 9 or 8. It's that first setting. Then change vram DJvoodoo whatever to 4096. The both next to each other

So this might work. Try never using a portal, ever. Only use telepipes. Once your team is in the area let them pipe you in. I feel like this worked for me before I changed my graphics settings. I didn't really do it enough to fully determine but it felt like it helped.
